Bags of potential in mums bright idea
Stephanie sets up successful mail order business as parents look forward to a good nights sleep

A Norfolk mother believes she has latched on to an idea which can potentially solve the problem of sleepless nights for the parents of young children.
Stephanie Gray of Blofield, has given up her full-time job at the Stationery Office in order to launch Little Lullaby - a home-based mail order business selling sleeping bags for babies.
The theory is that sleeping bags solve the problem of babies waking up because they are cold having kicked off all their bedding. According to Stephanie baby sleeping bags are used by eight out of ten mothers in continental Europe, but are still relatively uncommon and difficult to find in Britain.
The business idea cropped up by chance after Stephanie used the bags with daughters Madeleine, three, and Isabella, 16 months, from when they were four months old - and was amazed at how well they slept.
All my friends were having terrible nights with their babies: there I was feeling on top of the world and all because Id been given a baby sleeping bag as a present and thought it might save on the washing, she said.
Stephanie has worked closely with her manufacturer to ensure that her bags are baby-friendly, and says that since launching her business just before Christmas she has had letters of thanks from many happy customers.
Little Lullaby is now expanding to sell towelling ponchos in the shape of ducks and frogs for use after the bath, on the beach and for swimming. They dont fall off like conventional towels do and the girls love dressing up so they have fun and dry much quicker, said Stephanie.
Now she is exploring the possibility of producing more products which will prove helpful to parents.
Having children is hard work and I want to make life a little easier for parents, said Stephanie.
A tired parent is much more likely to be a stressed parent.

Sleep tight
Natural Parent May/June 2000
Little Lullaby has just launched a range of comfortable cotton sleeping bags. Popular on the continent, baby sleeping bags are now catching on here. Like duvets, the bags are filled with polyester and come in two weights - summer and winter. Each features a side zip for easy access and nappy changing as well as shoulder poppers and a lightly elasticated middle to keep the bag in place at night. These snug bags are ideal for children aged 4 months to 2.5 years, and many mothers swear they help babies sleep better. They are also useful if you have a wiggly baby who is always kicking the covers off.
Prices start at £24.95 for a summer weight bag; £27.95 for winter weight. For ordering details, phone 01603 431 308.
